The Foundation's Social Venture Innovation Lab is focused on the development of technologically innovative franchisable social ventures that will create jobs for the poor to deliver affordable social impact for the poor.
By focusing on bottom-up market creation, we emphasize the importance of grassroots efforts and community involvement in driving social change and economic development. Providing jobs for unemployed youth, especially women, not only addresses their immediate economic needs but also empowers them to contribute positively to their communities.

V’ice
V’ice Haiti is a “market creating” social venture demonstration owned by the SVF. V’ice Haiti is a showcase for how a social venture can provide a solution to a major poverty reduction challenge by providing jobs to deliver affordable social impact to those living in poverty.
V’ice took on the challenge of food insecurity which causes vitamin deficiency and poor immune systems, and developed a shaved ice cone with a vitaminized topping that is affordable to those making $1 to $3 a day.

Health checkers
More than 1 billion people in the world today lack access to health care services,
Health Checkers is a social franchise that will create jobs for nurses to deliver an affordable “health check” for the poor at a price they can afford. The health check will include rudimentary primary health services and affordable pharmaceuticals.
The program is set to be piloted in 2026 in partnership with the Fonkoze Foundation.

AGRI-GAS
Providing low cost cooking fuel and safe cooking systems for low income communities at the Base of the Pyramid.
AGRI-GAS is being developed in conjunction with a team of students from the Bio-Engineering Department of Northeastern University.
It will be piloted in Haiti for one small community once suitable financing partners are identified

Champinion
The Foundation is interested in developing several social franchises focused on the development of micro-crops which are small footprint farms some measuring less than 3 meters squared that allows the poor to achieve incomes for growing high valued climate resistant crops.
Currently the Foundation is engaged with a graduate of Earth University of Costa Rica in developing a social franchise for growing high protein mushrooms. Other "orphan seed" crops are under investigation.
ECOBRICK
EcoBrick is tackling Haiti's plastic waste crisis head-on by transforming discarded plastics into sustainable and environmentally friendly building materials.
From durable paving stones to eco-friendly bricks, they’re creating innovative solutions that not only reduce pollution but also provide affordable and practical alternatives for construction. By turning waste into opportunity, EcoBrick is paving the way—literally—for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Haiti

V’ice Box
Almost 1 billion people drink unsafe water or have to travel more than 30 minutes to drink safe water. And almost all people living under $4 a day don't have refrigeration leaving it up to the women in households to bear the burden of sourcing water and food. V'ice Box offers refrigeration, clean water, and jobs in low-income communities.
It provides food storage at temperatures below 5°C for 60 hours, collects ice block water for drinking, and creates employment through ice block delivery and manufacturing. It emphasizes sustainability by using free, recyclable insulation materials, with sponsor purchases limited to sheet metal and water bladder.
